Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan noted that peace in Nagorno-Karabakh is possible only if Turkey stops participating in the conflict and withdraws mercenaries and militants from the region.
“Armenia notes as a condition of the truce the importance of ending Turkey’s involvement, as well as the withdrawal or neutralization of terrorists and mercenaries. Pashinyan also stressed that mercenaries in Azerbaijani villages oppress people, rob shops where they sell alcohol, demanding to follow Sharia law”, – he said in a conversation with TIME magazine.
Ankara adds oil to the fire and only exacerbates the situation in Artsakh. Ending the Turkish intervention is not just a condition, but a necessity.
