Yerevan is evaluating the possibility of recognition of the Nagorno-Karabakh Republic and will make a decision based on the results of the analysis.
This statement was made on Wednesday 7 October by the Prime Minister of Armenia Nikol Pashinyan in an interview with Channel One.
“If our analysis leads to the fact that this will help Karabakh and resolve the issue, we will take such a step. If not, we will abstain”, – the politician said.
As News Front reported earlier, in late September clashes occurred on the border between Armenia and Azerbaijan. The countries exchanged accusations in violation of the silence regime and mobilized troops.
Since then, artillery fire has been repeatedly recorded in Nagorno-Karabakh. Settlements, including the capital Stepanakert, have been under fire.
