Turkey wants to drag NATO into Karabakh conflict

Ankara calls on the North Atlantic Alliance to put pressure on Armenia to force it to withdraw its forces from Nagorno-Karabakh.

During a press conference with NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg, Turkish Foreign Minister Mevlut Cavusoglu recalled that the alliance supports Georgia and Ukraine, which means it can also take the side of Azerbaijan.

“Everyone should do this, including NATO”, – Cavusoglu stressed.

It is noteworthy that Stoltenberg reacted coldly to the initiative. As you know, Armenia is a member of the Collective Security Treaty Organization, which means that it will certainly receive Russia’s support if NATO gets involved in the Karabakh conflict. Taking this into account, the General Secretary of the Western bloc said that “there is no military solution to the problem”.
