Kiev began to lure Belarusian specialists to work in Ukraine

Ukraine is interested in attracting Belarusian IT specialists.

According to Sputnik, the President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky signed Decree No. 420/2020 “On some measures to attract entrepreneurs, highly qualified specialists who are citizens of the Republic of Belarus”, according to the official website of the head of state.

According to the provisions of the document, citizens of the neighboring republic, primarily entrepreneurs and IT specialists, as well as their family members, will have the opportunity to stay in Ukraine for up to six months, and the procedure for obtaining a residence permit should be simplified for them.

Thus, Kiev hopes to attract valuable specialists, some of whom are considering winding up their business in Belarus due to the current political instability.

It remains unclear how Ukraine hopes to attract them to itself? Taking into account the fact that Ukrainian “specialists” of such a profile long ago left “Nezalezhnaya” and are looking for happiness in other countries, it is difficult to imagine that Belarusians will be ready to fill this gap in the Ukrainian economy.

Moreover, one can be absolutely sure that today’s Ukraine is the last country where they will want to move, if they still decide to leave Belarus.
