Baku seeks final solution to Karabakh issue

President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev made a statement in which he claims that his country is solving the problem by force that the world community could not solve.

According to Strana, in an interview with Al-Arabiya TV channel, Aliyev stated that Azerbaijan is not ready to wait another 30 years to resolve the problem with Nagorno-Karabakh.

“I’ve heard a lot about the fact that there is no military solution to the conflict. First, I disagree with that. Secondly, if there is no military path, then give us a non-military path, a diplomatic path. Fulfill the UN Security Council resolutions, Aliyev said. What diplomatic decision was there over these 28 years? Did mediators or other international organizations present us with a political way of settlement? No. They froze this conflict. However, it is not frozen. How much should we endure? Another 30 years? If the international community cannot ensure the implementation of international resolutions, Azerbaijan will do it itself, which is happening now”.
