She cannot mediate in the OSCE Minsk Group because of her “biased position and belligerent behaviour in the Karabakh conflict”, says the Armenian Prime Minister.
Turkey’s membership in the OSCE Minsk Group should be suspended due to its actions in the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict zone. This was stated by Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan in an interview with the French edition of Le Figaro on Friday.
“Turkey cannot be a mediator in the OSCE Minsk Group because of its biased position and bellicose behaviour in the Karabakh conflict”, – he said. At the same time, the head of the Cabinet confirmed that Yerevan sees the Minsk Group as the only existing platform for negotiations.
The OSCE Minsk Group, which is engaged in the search for a peaceful settlement of the Karabakh conflict, was established in 1992. The Group is currently co-chaired by Russia, France and the USA. Other members are Belarus, Finland, Germany, Italy, Sweden and Turkey, as well as Armenia and Azerbaijan.
