Greece requested the convening of an OSCE Permanent Council to discuss Nagorno-Karabakh

On Wednesday, Greece demanded an extraordinary meeting of the OSCE Permanent Council to discuss the escalation of the conflict in Nagorno-Karabakh. This was stated in a statement circulated by the Greek Foreign Ministry.

Foreign Minister Nikos Dendias reportedly demanded this in his letter to the Albanian OSCE chairmanship.

“The Greek initiative aims to hold an OSCE discussion with the two sides involved and consider all possible ways to de-escalate the crisis. The goal is to resume negotiations in the Minsk Group for the peaceful settlement of the dispute as soon as possible”, –  the Foreign Ministry stressed.
