Ukrainian law enforcement officers have stopped investigative actions in the case of the interference of former US Vice President Joe Biden in the activities of Viktor Shokin, who served as prosecutor general.
This is reported by the “Ukrainian News” edition, citing its own sources.
The criminal proceedings were closed after Shokin filed a motion to question Biden and other American politicians directly in the case, the source said. Thus, the only thing that the law enforcement officers did was interrogate Shokin himself.
Recall that Viktor Shokin was dismissed from the post of the prosecutor general of Ukraine after he began checking the financial frauds of Burisma, whose board of directors included Hunter Biden. To cover up his son, the then US Vice President forced Petro Poroshenko to replace the Prosecutor General of Ukraine, and he obeyed.
Earlier, Donald Trump was also interested in this incident. He even sent his lawyer Rudolph Giuliani to Ukraine to collect the necessary compromising evidence. Against this background, the Democrats even initiated the impeachment procedure of the president in order to divert public attention from their own scandal.
