The Russian National Defense Control Center reported that a Russian Su-27 fighter jet intercepted two US B-52H bombers over the Baltic Sea. They were approaching the borders of the Russian Federation.

The planes took off from a British Air Force base on 23 September and circled over the Russian enclave, including the Suwalki Corridor separating the Kaliningrad region and Belarus.
