Several thousand people protested for the resignation of the government outside the residence of Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu in Jerusalem.
Protests were also held in other Israeli cities.
However, on 24 September the Israeli government published a bill on new requirements for demonstrations: from 25 September to the first ten days of October only outdoor demonstrations of up to 20 people at a distance of no more than 1 km from their home are permitted.
