In Louisville, Kentucky, USA, two policemen sustained gunshot wounds while on patrol. This was stated by Robert Schroeder, acting Head of the City Police Department.
Mass protests erupted again in the city the day before when the court announced the decision in the case of the deceased Breonna Taylor.
“We had two officers injured today, and this is very serious. The condition is dangerous. I think the security of the officers and the society we serve is extremely important”, – Schroeder said.
According to preliminary information, one of the wounded officers is still in surgery. Both are assessed to be in a stable condition. The suspect has been detained and is in custody.
