Pupils in dozens of junior and senior secondary schools across Greece have begun sit-down protests against the mandatory wearing of masks.
Students are calling for the abolition of the mandatory use of masks and for more caretakers to be recruited.
New protests in schools were held today in the Serres regional office. The protest of the Sidirokastro Technical School, which has been participating in rallies since last week, was joined today by students of the Sidirokastro lyceum together with the junior school, according to the public television company ERT. The protests were also joined by students of N. Petritsi and Lefkonas junior high schools.
Schools in Crete, Achaya, Magnesia, Kavala and other areas have already closed after pupils started protesting against the use of masks.
