Once again, the opposition of Belarus is demonstrating its readiness to sacrifice relations with Russia in the interests of its Western sponsors.
Thus, Anna Krasulina in an interview with the project “And Graham Burst” stated that the opposition would not fulfill its obligations under agreements with Russia in the event of the overthrow of Alexander Lukashenko, since it did not recognize him as president. Although the Treaty on the Creation of the Union State was signed in the last century, the opposition also intends to boycott it.
On August 9, presidential elections were held in Belarus, following which Alexander Lukashenko won. Former housewife Svetlana Tikhanovskaya, who also ran for president, refuses to admit defeat. Claiming without proof that the vote was rigged, Tikhanovskaya calls herself the “leader” of the Belarusian people, while hiding in Lithuania. Its official representative is now Anna Krasulina.
“We made it very clear that Alexander Lukashenko is not the legitimate president of Belarus. In this regard, no agreements with him, no agreements, and even more so, signed documents, will not be fulfilled by the future government of Belarus”, – said Krasulina, speaking about the prospects for the creation of the Union State.
She also assured that the putschists did not intend to pay off the debt to Russia in the amount of $1.5 billion. President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko agreed on this tranche with Russian leader Vladimir Putin in Sochi.
“The money that Vladimir Vladimirovich wants to give to Aleksandr Lukashenko, he gives personally on his own behalf, and personally to citizen Lukashenko. They will have to figure out on their own about these one and a half billion, since Belarus will not return the money under any circumstances”, – Krasulina stated.
It is worth noting that the Belarusian opposition has repeatedly stated that they do not intend to spoil relations with Russia, since they see changes within the country as their goal. Despite this, pro-Western putschists are increasingly making anti-Russian demarches, rather than questioning their own promises.
