The Belarusian opposition claims that during the visit of ex-presidential candidate Svetlana Tikhanovskaya to Brussels it was agreed to provide a package of assistance to the republic “after democratic changes have taken place there”. This was announced on Tuesday by the Telegram Channel of Tikhanovskaya “Pool First”.
“Svetlana Tikhanovskaya has agreed that Belarus will receive a package of assistance after the democratic changes”, – the report says.

On Monday, Tikhanovskaya spoke at an extraordinary session of the Committee on Foreign Affairs of the European Parliament dedicated to the situation in Belarus. She accused President Alexander Lukashenko of unwillingness to engage in dialogue with the opposition and proposed sanctions against Belarusian officials whom she had listed as “responsible for violence in the country”. She also took part in a breakfast with EU foreign ministers, which took place before the EU Council meeting at the level of foreign ministers.
