A rally of many thousands took place in the capital, Berlin, on 20 September. The participants demanded that Germany accept more refugees from the burnt-out Moriah camp.
Participants held banners with the slogans “Shame on the EU” and “We have a place”. They felt that Germany is able to accept more refugees from the Greek island of Lesbos, regardless of what other European countries decide on this issue.
