London protests against restrictions due to coronavirus

London police arrested 32 people in Trafalgar Square last Sunday – they were part of a coronation protest against isolation and vaccination.

According to the Metropolitan Police, the law enforcement officers at the scene were “met with outbreaks of violence” even before the arrests. The arrests themselves were made for disorderly conduct, attacks on people and violation of social distance rules.

“We remain at the epicentre of the public health crisis, and by gathering in large numbers – as in today’s protest – we put others at risk. We advised those present to disperse, but many refused to do so”, –  said Superintendent of Police Emma Richards in an official statement.
