Tens of thousands of protesters protested on Sana Luang Square in Bangkok, the capital of Thailand. They demanded the adoption of a new constitution and the abolition of military rule.
According to the police, about 20,000 people gathered in the square. The protest organisers expect the number of protesters to increase to 100,000.
In the afternoon, demonstrators were standing in the pouring rain. Last month in the Thai capital Bangkok, 10 thousand people went out for democracy.
