Russia calls on EU to rethink eroding course towards Minsk

The Russian Foreign Ministry has appealed to the EU with a call to reconsider the current course of relations with Belarus.

The department added that the current policy leads to the emergence of erosion in the international legal foundation of the rule of law.

In addition, they clarified that the decision to introduce restrictive measures against Belarus does not meet the goals of restoring stability, as well as easing tensions and building a dialogue.

The Russian Foreign Ministry emphasized that the desire to invite the former candidate for the presidency of Belarus Svetlana Tikhanovskaya to the meeting of the EU Foreign Ministers reflects Brussels’ withdrawal from statements about the absence of geopolitics in the Belarusian political crisis.
