The U.S. leader believes that countries will have the opportunity to influence elections through postal voting.
China poses a more serious threat to the upcoming American elections on 3 November than to Russia. This opinion was expressed by US President Donald Trump on Thursday, commenting on the assertion by US Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) Director Christopher Ray that attempts to influence the US elections were attributed to Moscow.
“But, Chris, you don’t notice the actions of China, which is a much more serious threat than Russia, Russia, Russia,” Trump wrote on Twitter. He believes that China and Russia, as well as other countries, will have an opportunity to influence the elections because of the mail vote.
On Thursday the FBI director said that Russia continues to try to influence the U.S. elections “through foreign malicious influence – social media, government media and so on”.
