The vessel, a high-speed catamaran, entered the Black Sea after the missile destroyer of the US Navy USS Roosevelt and the reconnaissance officer HMS Enterprise of the Royal Navy of Great Britain.
As reported by “Ukrainska Pravda”, the high-speed landing ship of the US Navy USNS Yuma (T-EPF-8) entered the Black Sea on Wednesday evening.
“Last year the Yuma called Odessa twice. The first visit took place on June 29, 2019, before the start of the SeaBreeze international exercise, where it delivered equipment, munitions and military equipment of the American side. The second – on September 19, 2019, the purpose of this visit was not announced, ” it was reported.
JHSV type vessels are multipurpose, they are designed to operate in shallow ports and fairways. They can carry out humanitarian missions, the transfer of troops, cargo and military equipment.
