Zelensky worried that “Maidan” could happen in Belarus

President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky expressed concern that Belarus could “get something like a Maidan” in the absence of dialogue between the authorities and the people.

“In any case, I support the Belarusian people. It is important for me that there is no bloodbath. If the state refuses to dialogue with the people, Belarus can get something like a Maidan”, – the Ukrainian president said.

At the same time, Zelensky noted that he does not see a “symbolic leader” around whom people in Belarus could rally.

“In any case, it is important that Belarusians decide their own future”, – added the President of Ukraine.
