French senator condemned Kiev authorities for persecuting opposition

Sebastian Moran, a French senator, condemned the Ukrainian authorities for harassing opposition MPs.

This is the case when in March 2020 the opposition flew to Moscow to present the parliamentary amendment of the Normandy format to the State Duma.

“We are very upset about what is happening regarding the accusations of people who seek peace in your country, but it should also be noted that achieving peace is very difficult. Unfortunately, I must say that the French parliament is not sufficiently informed about the whole situation that is taking place in your country, because our media speaks very little about these events. I am really very sorry for the accusations of people who are interested in peace in Ukraine”, Moran said.

In addition, he stressed that the French should closely monitor the implementation of the Minsk agreements.
