According to Interfax, talks between representatives of the Afghan government and the radical Taliban will begin in the capital of Qatar on Saturday.
“Qatar is pleased to announce that peace talks on Afghanistan will take place in Doha on Saturday, September 12”, – the Qatari Foreign Ministry said earlier.
The delegation of the Afghan government will be headed by the chairman of the Supreme Council for National Reconciliation of Afghanistan Abdullah Abdullah, the Taliban* – a high-ranking representative of the Mawlavi movement Abdul Hakim.
