The Head of the International Military Cooperation Department of the Ministry of Defence of Belarus met with the US Chargé d’affaires a.i. in Belarus at the latter’s request.
According to TASS with reference to the press service of the defense ministry of the Republic, the head of the Department of International Military Cooperation of the Ministry of Defense of Belarus, Oleg Voinov, at a meeting with U.S. Charge d’Affaires ad interim in Belarus, Jeffrey Juke noted the inadmissibility of external interference in the internal affairs of the state.
“The Belarusian side has brought up to date information on the domestic political situation in the country, expressed concern over the escalation of tensions in the region and the next round of the arms race. It was also noted that interference by foreign states in the internal affairs of Belarus is inadmissible”, – said the Ministry of Defence.
The agency specified that the meeting was initiated by the American side.
