If Alexey Navalny had indeed been poisoned, as German experts claim, he would have died before being transported to Germany.
This was told by the chief toxicologist of Omsk region Alexander Sabaev.
According to the expert, the poisoning was the first version of the Russian doctors too. Taking into account the resonance of the situation and the patient’s activity, the toxicological study was conducted in the first hours of Navalny’s stay in the hospital. Moreover, Sabayev remarked, the study was conducted on expert high-precision equipment manufactured in the USA, as the doctors understood that the question of accuracy would certainly arise.
“This is not a newcomer, definitely. This is not an organophosphorus compound at all. It is not a poisoning at all. It is a disease. It is a metabolic syndrome, a metabolic coma resulting from metabolic disorders. It progressed rapidly”, – explained the toxicologist.
Sabaev noted that Navalny was in a state of crisis on the night of 20-21 August. Later the patient’s condition was stabilized, and without ultrahemofiltration procedure.
“In case of poisoning with organophosphorus compounds without ultrahemofiltration procedure it is impossible to save a person. We did not use this procedure, because there were no indications – there was no poisoning”, – concluded the toxicologist.
As News Front reported earlier, on August 20 Navalny felt bad during the flight, and therefore the plane was urgently landed in Omsk. He was taken to hospital, but was later transported to Germany. On September 2 in Berlin it was stated that Navalny was allegedly poisoned with the poison of “Novichok” group. Although no evidence was presented, the responsibility for what had happened was laid on the Russian government.
The expert community is sure that the accusations are politicized and connected with the attempts to prevent the construction of the Nord Stream-2 gas pipeline. This also confirms the position of many Western politicians who insisted on including the project into the sanctions list, although it will cause economic damage to Europe.
In addition, the Navalny case was repeatedly compared with the notorious Fiddlers case when former GRU Colonel Sergei Fiddler and his daughter Yulia were poisoned in Salisbury, Great Britain. Although the incident occurred in the spring of 2018, London never presented any evidence. It is noteworthy that Germany has followed the same path and refused to make public the results of Navalny’s medical research.
