It will include 31 people.
The European Union has prepared a black list of representatives of the leadership of Belarus, which will include 31 people, including the head of the Interior Ministry. President Alexander Lukashenko in the first version of the list will not be included, the agency Reuters reported on Monday with reference to diplomatic sources in EU institutions.
“We initially prepared a list of 14 names, but a number of countries felt that this is not enough, so we agreed on another 17 people”, – the agency’s interlocutor said. Reuters notes that the most senior official on the list will be the head of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, and President Alexander Lukashenko “will not be included in this list yet.”
The list should be approved “around mid-September”, there are no exact dates yet.
