U.S. Embassy officials tracked Ukrainian journalists – Fox News

Transcripts of e-mails from employees of the US Embassy in Kiev, obtained at the request of the human rights organization Judicial Watch, indicate that the embassy tracked 13 Twitter accounts in the spring of 2019.

Fox News reports that the monitoring was carried out in relation to mainly journalists who asked questions about Russia, the activities of former Vice President Joe Biden and other sensitive topics, which in turn could harm the reputation of people from the previous Obama administration – Biden – Clinton.

As previously stated by the non-factional People’s Deputy of Ukraine Andriy Derkach, the US Embassy in 2016 with the hands of NABU collected personal information on the ex-Prosecutor General of Ukraine Viktor Shokin, as well as his family members. The embassy also coordinated with NABU a draft suspicion of the ex-head of the State Fiscal Service Roman Nasirov, who was detained just after a trip to the inauguration of the newly elected Donald Trump.
