From Monday, September 7, units of the People’s Militia of the DPR will begin the process of eliminating illegal engineering structures of the Ukrainian occupation forces.
This statement was made by the head of the Donetsk People’s Republic Denis Pushilin.
He stressed that for more than a week Donetsk had been trying to persuade Kiev militants to eliminate violations of the ceasefire by eliminating trenches 600 meters north-east of the village of Shuma.
Otherwise, the DPR may use clause “e” of bilateral agreements, which allows the People’s Militia to independently eliminate these violations. Kiev ignored the warnings.
“In this regard, I officially declare that in accordance with paragraph “e” of additional measures, I decided to issue an order to open fire on illegally erected engineering structures in the area of the Shumy settlement (600 meters north-east of the Shumy settlement – the area of newly equipped Ukrainian positions centered at coordinates 48 degrees 22 minutes 57 seconds north latitude and 37 degrees 56 minutes 55 seconds east longitude), ” Pushilin said in a statement.
He also assured that the Ukrainian side would receive detailed coordinates of the location of the operation so that Kiev would evacuate its militants from there by 8 am on September 7.
“We don’t need human sacrifice. We don’t need to break the truce. We only want to comply with the agreements reached. I appeal to the OSCE SMM with a request to monitor this operation at the designated time, ” the DPR head stated.
