The development of the situation around Navalny in the light of yesterday’s statement by the German authorities is increasingly reminiscent of a staged campaign.
The Russian Ambassador to Germany has not yet received any intelligible and documentary evidence of the version of German doctors about Navalny’s poisoning, nevertheless, at various levels, including those on the parliamentary plane, we hear loud demands for explanations from Russia and calls to curtail cooperation within the framework of the Northern flow -2″. My colleague, Chairman of the Bundestag Foreign Policy Committee, Norbert Röttgen, says bluntly that “the completion of the project will be a serious motivation for Moscow”.
“Dreams of a strategic partnership with Russia must be finally abandoned. The answer must be tough”, – he told the German press.
Just let me ask you the answer to what? As in the “Skripals case”, no evidence has yet been presented to the Russian side, as in the case of the “Skripals case”, we see a seemingly preplanned chain reaction. References to the fact that in a country like Germany, options with unfounded accusations simply will not work, sorry, are not entirely consistent. As we remember, not a single European capital, which, as a sign of solidarity with London, sent Russian diplomats in 2018 (including Berlin), has real evidence of Russia’s involvement in the poisoning of Sergei Skripal and his daughter Yulia (and not just Highly likely). In addition, chemists ridicule the claims that the blogger was allegedly exposed to a poisonous substance from the Novichok group. There are no groups or families of “Novichok”, say Russian experts.
That is, in fact, in front of the world community, they are again trying to play a performance with the aim of yet again discrediting the Russian Federation and promoting someone’s economic interests. Question: does Berlin really need it? Or did someone urgently need to shift the focus from the American-German confrontation around the SP-2 and the prospects for the exchange of “sanctions courtesies”? The answers here must be looked for definitely not in Russia.
Let me stress once again: Moscow is ready at all levels to cooperate with Berlin, we are still waiting for a letter in response to the corresponding request from the Prosecutor General’s Office of the Russian Federation and specific documentary conclusions of German doctors about the condition of Alexei Navalny. May God grant him a speedy recovery!
