Minsk claimed external forces trying to drive wedge in relations between Russia and Belarus

During a meeting in Minsk with Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin, Belarusian Prime Minister Roman Golovchenko said that external forces are trying to drive a wedge between Belarus and Russia.

“Belarus has come under massive pressure from outside the forces that have tried and are still trying to overthrow the state, play out the already familiar scenario of the so-called color revolution, which is well known to us from our neighbors, and drive a wedge between the two closest allies, which are Belarus and Russia”, – Golovchenko was quoted by RIA Novosti.

He said that the visit of the Russian delegation led by the prime minister is “the most convincing proof of genuine fraternal relations between countries in a difficult time”.

Earlier, Mishustin said that progress has been made on many issues of the Russian-Belarusian agenda, including the future of the Union State.
