Kiev elites are crossing all sorts of boundaries. If the situation does not change, Russia could deploy full-scale operational activities in Ukraine.
This was told by political scientist Vladimir Kornilov, commenting on the publication “Ukraina.ru” on the latest provocations of Kiev, such as the detention of Russians in Belarus and the recruitment of spies on the territory of Russia.
The expert notes that previously, the Ukrainian power structures operated exclusively in the Donbass and Crimea. They explained their activity by the fact that they consider these territories to be theirs. Now the situation is changing, and Ukrainian activity is spreading deep into Russia.
“For a long time, Ukraine felt how much Russian patience would be enough,” he says. “Recently, the Ukrainian special services have become so insolent that they have moved their operations deep into Russia and even lure Russians into neighboring countries.”
According to Kornilov, now Moscow simply needs to react decisively to Ukraine’s actions. Otherwise, even sabotage and terrorist attacks both in large cities of Russia and in the provinces cannot be ruled out. Certain Kiev leaders of their right-wing radical circles regularly offer similar ideas. In this regard, Russia must think over a comprehensive answer, the political scientist is sure. A simple diplomatic protest is no longer enough here.
“Maybe the time has come for a tough warning to Zelensky,” says Kornilov.
Zelenskiy will have to draw certain conclusions and take measures not to provoke an escalation of tension with Russia. Otherwise, the expert is sure, Russia will have to “transfer its operations to the territory of Ukraine.”
