German Foreign Minister Heiko Maas has announced talks with the United States on sanctions against Nord Stream 2. Maas said this at a press conference following talks with his Chinese counterpart Wang Yi.
“We do not believe that such extraterritorial sanctions are in line with international law.
And I reported this directly to my colleague Michael Pompeo … We are in contact with the Washington administration on this issue, ” said the German Foreign Minister.
Earlier, German Chancellor Angela Merkel said that possible new US sanctions against the Nord Stream 2 gas pipeline contradict the concepts of the law.
