Every second person in the Czech Republic does not trust NATO

Czechs’ trust in the North Atlantic Alliance is declining.

This is evidenced by the results of a sociological survey conducted by the Center for Public Opinion Research.
According to the survey results only 54% of citizens trust the Western military block. Thus, since April of last year the level of trust reduced by 7%. Czechs are also sceptical about the UN. The organization is trusted by 55% of people which is 8% less.

Every second interrogated person trusts the European Union. 45% of respondents stated that they were disappointed in the commonwealth. Only 37% of people trust the European Parliament and 36% trust the European Commission. 49% and 46% respectively do not trust these institutions.

European officials are not popular among Czechs either. Only 28% of the interrogated trust the head of European Commission, 27% – the chairman of European Council, and 25% – the head of European diplomacy.
