Lukashenko is ready to change the system of power in the country

The leader of Belarus announced the need to create a system that is not tied to the president.

As reported by TASS with reference to BelTA, President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko admitted that the existing social system in the country is partly authoritarian, and declared the need to build a system that would not be tied to the personality of the president.

“I believe that, despite the fact that we have a somewhat authoritarian system for organizing public life, the president nevertheless protects the courts”, – BelTA quotes Lukashenko as saying.

The head of state made these statements following a meeting with the Chairman of the Supreme Court Valentin Sukalo, whom he asked to join in changing the country’s constitution.
