Germany reported Europe’s vulnerability to US sanctions

Europe is unprotected against American sanctions, including the Russian project “Nord Stream – 2”, as well as the Iranian nuclear program. This was stated by German Foreign Minister Heiko Maas.

“Europe remains unprotected, ian particular, to American sanctions, whether it is within the framework of Iran’s nuclear program or the Nord Stream-2 project”, –  Maas said.

He emphasized that issues of European energy, foreign and trade policy should be defined in Europe.

“It also requires strengthening the euro as the base currency, payment channels as INSTEX, and eventually it is necessary to think about a European bank with quotations in euros”, –  the minister said.
