The chairman of the International Affairs Committee to the Federation Council commented on the preliminary results of the parliamentary elections in the Balkan republic.
Konstantin Kosachev on his Facebook page suggested that in Montenegro, as a result of the parliamentary elections, not only the alignment of political forces, but also the strategic course could change.
For the first time, Djukanovic’s party, which has ruled for three decades, does not receive its own majority. The anti-Russian card, and it was thrown into the very center of the election campaign, was not played this time, Kosachev said.
“Perhaps we will see another Montenegro again. Which for centuries has been associated with neighboring Serbia and close Russia by common interests and sincere sympathies. And which modern Russians love so much, despite political differences. Good luck, Montenegro!”
