American soldiers kill four civilians in South Korea

A tragic incident involving the American military took place in South Korea, which is paying $1 billion to host a US military contingent.

According to the South Korean news agency Yonhap, four citizens of the republic were victims of a collision of an American armored vehicle with a car. The incident took place last night in the city of Pocheon, north of Seoul. As a result of the collision, the SUV was practically crushed by the tracks of military equipment, which was returning to the base after the exercises.

Four Koreans, who were in a civilian vehicle, were taken to the hospital, but they could not be saved. American soldiers were unharmed.

To date, more than 23,000 US troops are stationed in South Korea. Last year, Washington forced Seoul to increase spending on the US military to $1 billion.
