Protesters burn portraits of Lukashenko and Putin in Kiev

Under the embassy of Belarus in Kiev, the Maidan supporters went to a protest rally entitled “The Birthday of the Dictator”.

According to the protesters, they expressed their solidarity with the Belarusian people and opposed the “regime” of Alexander Lukashenko. The name of the action was not chosen by chance, because today the president of the neighboring country turns 66 years old.

The protestors said that recent events in the country have shown what the face of the authorities really is. And that she rests on the batons of the security forces and the support of Russia. During the action, the protesters burned portraits of the Belarusian and Russian presidents and the flag of the Russian Federation.
