Pushkov says American journalists are people deeply zombified or intimidated by aggressive political correctness

The American television company CNN broadcast another “masterpiece”: a reporter stands against the background of burning buildings and cars set on fire by protesters in Kenosha, and all this is accompanied by captions stating that it is “mostly a peaceful protest”.

KENOSHA, WI – AUGUST 24: Demonstrators retreat from tear gas in front of the Kenosha County Courthouse on August 24, 2020 in Kenosha, Wisconsin. Additional law enforcement were deployed to protect the courthouse. Civil unrest occurred after the shooting of Jacob Blake, 29, on August 23. Russian Senator Alexei Pushkov commented on the next “achievements” of liberal freedom of speech in the United States.

“In the American liberal media, clichés, bosses’ censorship and self-censorship of journalists are so strong that they often in all seriousness give out complete and obvious nonsense, but remain faithful to the approved stamp. Only people deeply zombified or intimidated by aggressive political correctness can talk about the “predominantly peaceful nature” of the riots in Portland or Kenosha and not see that this contradicts all the facts and even what they themselves show on the air. I am sure that all American journalists are like that. But such is Her Majesty’s Liberal Direction: those who violate her precepts may bitterly regret it”, – Pushkov wrote in his Telegram channel.
