It became known about Chinese launch of two missiles as US warning

China launched two ballistic missiles towards the South China Sea, thus sending a U.S. warning. This was reported by the South China Morning Post with reference to sources.

According to the publication, one of the missiles, DF-26B, was launched from Qinghai Province, while the other, DF-21D, was launched from the eastern province of Zhejiang. Both landed in an area closed due to the military exercise.

“This is China’s response to the potential risks posed by the increasing frequency of U.S. military aircraft and ships arriving in the South China Sea,” a newspaper source said.
