Canadian Foreign Minister Francois-Philippe Champagne and the head of the European Union diplomacy Josep Borrel called on the Belarusian leader to the national dialogue and the adoption of the OSCE mediation to resolve the political crisis in the country.
A statement by politicians, published on Wednesday, August 26, on the EU website, states that Belarus has international obligations, in particular, as an OSCE participating state.
“As friends of the people of Belarus and supporters of the sovereignty and independence of the Republic of Belarus, we support the desire of citizens for democratic change”, – said Champagne and Borrel.
According to them. Ottawa and Brussels will continue to support the people of Belarus and do everything to make their voices heard and their rights protected.
