The memory of one of its main heroes was honored in the capital of the Donetsk People’s Republic.
In Donetsk, on the Walk of Fame, a bust of the Hero of the DPR – the legendary commander of the Somalia assault battalion Mikhail “Givi” Tolstykh, was unveiled.
He died on February 8, 2017 in Makeyevka on the territory of his military unit under fire from a Bumblebee jet flamethrower. The shell hit straight into his office.
