Double attack in the Philippines

At least nine people died and dozens were injured.

According to Interfax, on Monday the Philippine Red Cross said that the double attack in the city of Holo in the Philippines killed at least nine people and injured dozens.

“The terrorist attack in the capital of the island province of Sulu occurred on Monday at around noon local time”, –  said the head of the country’s Red Cross, Richard Gordon. “First, a motorcycle with an improvised explosive device mounted on it exploded near a military truck. Then, when the police arrived at the scene, there was a second explosion.

Five soldiers and four civilians were among the dead. About 20 soldiers were injured.
