The American MQ-9 Reaper drone was shot down on Tuesday over the Syrian province of Idlib.
Initially, pro-Turkish militants reported the destruction of a Russian drone in the sky over Idlib using a man-portable air defense system (MANPADS). However, one of the American MQ-9s was identified in the wreckage of the shot-down drone, which started flying much more frequently in this area in recent days.
The Pentagon later admitted that the U.S. Air Force “lost two drones over Syria after an air strike. However, the type of the second UAV is not named.
Despite the U.S. statement about the collision of two drones in the air, which, according to the U.S. military and caused their crash, the network published photos and videos of the defeat of the MQ-9 missile. It was already on fire when it crashed. This was also confirmed by the explosion in the air.
