The armed conflict in Syria has brought Russia a lot of useful military experience. In particular, the Military Academy of Air and Space Defense was able to collect enough data to develop a system of forecasting the routes of enemy UAVs.
The head of the academy, Vladimir Lyaporov, told the Krasnaya Zvezda newspaper in his commentary that the system will be presented at the Armia 2020 forum. According to him, the intelligent system for determining the areas of flight routes of unmanned aerial vehicles will “substantially reduce the efficiency of enemy drone use.
Predicting the trajectory of combat drones flight in relation to their potential targets will make it possible to place air defense assets on these routes to intercept enemy aircraft.
“Given the analysis of armed conflicts in recent years, UAVs have become a serious and dangerous tool for air strikes. Most of all this demonstrates the use of drones against air defense forces in Syria”, – Laporov explained the relevance of the project.
