According to media reports, in 2020, the global wheat market faced numerous shocks, from drought to floods. In such conditions, the European Union could not boast of a harvest, which cannot be said about Russia, which did not come out on top in terms of exports, occupying the markets where it previously sold grain to the EU.

Harvesting in Russia continues, and analysts are improving their forecasts for the Russian Federation. The current harvest is expected to be the second largest in the country’s history.

Today Russia sells wheat to more than a hundred countries, and now it is beginning to squeeze European countries out of the markets of North Africa and the Middle East.
