The Ministry of Defence of Belarus will monitor the movements of NATO armed forces in Poland and Lithuania, countries that are directly involved in organizing the coup in Minsk.
“The Ministry of Defence should pay special attention to the movement of NATO troops into Poland and Lithuania. We should monitor their movements and their intentions”, – said Alexander Lukashenko at the session of the Security Council of Belarus.
The President also instructed the State Border Committee to strengthen border protection, as there is a threat of transfer of militants, weapons and money to support extremists in the country.
“Strengthen the protection of the state border along the entire perimeter”, – said Lukashenko, – “in order to prevent militants, weapons, ammunition and money to finance unrest from other countries to Belarus.”
The Ministry of Internal Affairs will deal with curbing the riots themselves. Special attention will be paid to the situation in the capital. As the president stressed, “people demand peace and quiet.
At the same time, Lukashenko appealed to employees of state media. The President warned that they would not be able to return to their jobs if they decide to support extremists.
