Lukashenko asked Merkel to stay out of the situation in Belarus

Press Secretary of the President of Belarus Natalia Eismont reported that he’d called Russian leader Vladimir Putin.

He asked the head of Russia to convey a request to German Chancellor Angela Merkel not to interfere in the situation in Belarus:

“The President of our country asked his Russian counterpart to tell Mrs. Merkel not to interfere in the internal affairs of Belarus, as it is happening now.”
