Latvian Foreign Minister Edgars Rinkevich said that the authorities of the Baltic republic cannot recognize Svetlana Tikhanovskaya as the winner of the presidential elections in Belarus.
As the minister noted on the Latvian television, no one knows the real results of the elections in Belarus because of the “large-scale falsification”.
“There is information that ballots were burned afterwards, and no one can say what the real distribution of votes was,” Rinkevich stressed.
The Latvian Foreign Minister also believes that the re-voting in Belarus should be held with the participation of international observers.
