Washington is provoking a new round of tensions in Europe with a controversial new deal with Warsaw.
Military expert Alexander Tikhansky told about this on the air of the radio “Sputnik”.
According to him, the deployment of another thousand American soldiers on the territory of Poland is at least of what is allowed to the United States within the framework of the agreement on military cooperation signed the day before. For example, the Pentagon provided itself with the opportunity to create logistics and infrastructure military centers in Poland. As a result, the American armed contingent here may increase to 20 thousand soldiers.
At the same time, the development of military infrastructure will lead to an increase in the number of exercises in close proximity to the borders of Russia and Belarus.
“The escalation of military tension and military balance, let’s say, is obvious,” Tikhansky stressed.
As News Front previously reported, Washington and Warsaw recently signed an agreement on military cooperation. Among the controversial clauses of the military cooperation agreement was the withdrawal of the American military contingent from Polish jurisdiction. This means that Polish law enforcement officers will not be able to prosecute American soldiers, even for serious crimes, up to and including rape or murder.
